The Success of Happiness
Given all the things that one can have in life, at one point, you will be satisfied. Now the question is whether or not trying to go further into whatever you're already satisfied with will actually help compensate for those you aren't. True enough, it's not really a usual route. However, when there's another aspect in your life that you just can't seem to get satisfied with, maybe you'd retort to going even further, climbing even higher, and trying to do even better on what you're already the best at.
Will succeeding ten times for the same feat make you happy? My personal take on it would have to bring us to that question. I'd have to say that yes, success would always help. But no, it won't really make you happy if there's another part of your life that you're leaving behind, and not succeeding at completely. It's just like staying in your comfort zone forever! It isn't much fun, and it's no fulfillment.
This is the part when I say, "think about it!" because the reason why you're probably unsuccessful at a certain thing is that you haven't surpassed the challenge to get through it. Yet. Let's be optimistic here. At that same line of thought, you're the best at that other thing you keep succeeding at because, well, it's a challenge no more. You've mastered it so well to the point that you can make everything go your way, and you can never not know what to say or how to fix things. That in itself makes me say that it wouldn't make you happy to go through a mere routine-like happening in your life.

Yes, it's a risk to try to get to the peak of somewhere you've never explored. The fact that you haven't been exposed to it says so much, including having to say that you aren't comfortable with it. Not at all. However, you have to accept that you're taking a crazy turn by trying to deny that you wouldn't want to get there. Oh, by all means focus on something that will distract you from it for now. But then, you won't ever escape that will to pursue something else - to pursue what will truly make you happy. And until you admit that to yourself, you can't say that you're moving forward in life. You're just standing there.
